Too many Americans have too much money. The old American dream is dead. The new American dream is that if you have money, it is easy to make more money. There are more and more of the younger generations of Americans that have been boxed out by this new system of wealth generation. The old way says that being smart and working hard, one can rise from poverty to wealth survivability. Home ownership was always the bridge to wealth security. No longer for the kids can’t afford them.
No wonder
socialism seems attractive to the young folk. Socialism, where the government owns everything and makes all the rules, has been a disaster everywhere it has been tried. However, it is our future.
Fix our capitalist America or the kids will create another disaster. For starters, means test Social Security. There is no reason that Americans with million dollar homes should be getting Social Security benefits. The greedy will say, "wait one minute, I earned that money". Yah but did you earn the fact that you were born in America and not Bangladesh? The Social Security system was never intended to be about living high on the hog, it was about taking care of our struggling old folk.
