The baseball Gods were with the Dodgers this post season. For some strange reason, the twists and turns of the game of baseball allowed them to win the World Series, congratulations you Dodgers. You were out played, out hit, out homered and except for a few games out pitched. Your defense was at times sloppy and at times miraculous but the tide always turned just enough.
Allow me to make an application. Our lives are like the game that is not a game. Life is for real. There are times when the mojo is working and times when everything seems to be a great disappointment. We have all been there, at these bad times, despite our sloppiness at life, if we listen for the voice of God and that gentle nudge that is bigger than all our disappointments, God will reassure us we have value to God in the game that is not a game.
