Wakeup

 John 14: 19, 20. (NNIV)

Jesus is speaking to his disciples of the future without him.  The day of his departure had arrived and he was about to be ushered from this world.  The question is, is there a new reality in these words or the living out of an old potential?    

“Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.  Because I live you also will live.  On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.  (John 14: 19 & 20.)

Could it be?  Jesus is hoping that his disciples will finally wake up to their spiritual potential.  Jesus expressed this potential as being “in” a relationship, a relationship that he knew had no boundaries, particularly those of the five senses. This spiritual potential has and always will be among us because we are all connected. However, our potential is rarely utilized.  We humans are, somehow, more comfortable spiritually blind.  Like the disciples at this critical hour, most of us need a nudge, what's yours?

Death Sentence

The abortion debate is again front and center.  The Supreme Court’s political comprise called, Roe vs. Wade, gives the murdering mamas a blank check.  This check they have cashed for the last 50 years with millions of mass casualties.  Most of America wants a sane abortion policy but when the law give an inch, the money changers always take a mile.  The only real alternative is to put the people of America as close as possible to these life and death decisions.  Bring it to a vote!

Hell

 So, you don’t like my proposed cosmology.  Well, what's in your golf bag?  I send people to hell every other month, that doesn’t mean there is an actual hell.  But if there is a hell, surely, according to you, we or they would experience excruciating pain minute by minute residing in the depths for all eternity.  Hell and heaven must be confusing places considering the trillions of humans that have died in our midst.  How can one make sense of this Sunday School gibberish that is not in the Bible?

Bullet Holes

 Where is the autopsy report of the body of National Guardsman, Specialist Bishop E. Evans?  Did he die of drowning or bullet holes?  Since the two illegals he tried to help where drug traffickers, it only makes sense that the Guardsman was shot from the Mexican side of the river to protect the cartel transporters.  Is this not an act of war?  Someone needs to insist upon an open and public autopsy report because it would be politically expedient to cover up this possibility, if, the bullet holes exist.

Osmosis

 Our human experiential bubble of four dimensions is known to us as everyday reality.  Our world, our universe, our galaxy and the seemingly endless stream of galaxies, all float suspended in a sea of four-dimensional time and space. The dimensions of length, height, width and time are familiar to us all, so familiar that we navigate these boundaries without thinking.  

Our reality bubble is permeable, allowing a fifth dimension to influence our world.  Science has a number of theories that identify the fifth dimension but no clear widely accepted winner.  Just suppose for a moment that the fifth dimension is not scientific but emanates from the realm of the spirit of God.

Are you with me?  The Spirit of God, be it the fifth, sixth, or seventh dimensions, is constantly invading our reality to advertise the wisdom of eternity.  Some of us may question this, at least we live as though the Spirit is forever beyond our reach but the Spirit will not go away.  Right now, on this Easter Sunday, the Spirit of God is passing through the membrane of our reality bubble much like the process of osmosis on a cellular level.

Why is this so difficult to believe?  Our problem is that we ignore, redefine, reject and misinterpret the moving’s of the Spirit.  This Spirit avoidance is in our DNA.  In the case of Socrates, intellectual philosophy was the cover. Muhammed redefined spirituality as political control. Jesus was all about eternity but three hundred years after the resurrection, he was also buried in the crypt of religion.
